The City of Oakdale Planning Division:

Manages the City’s land development process relative to site plan review, building design, specific use permits, and zoning;

Administers and maintains the City’s General Plan and Specific Plans such as the recently adopted East F Street and South Oakdale Industrial Specific Plans that direct new development in Oakdale’s next planning area.

Prepares policies, programs and ordinances relating to development, maintains demographic data, and engages in special planning studies relating to community and economic development, environment, urban design, transporation, & housing; and

Offers public outreach and education programs to encourage greater involvement in planning activities at the local level - attempting to engage citizens with their physical environment.
