National Night Out is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
  • Support for anticrime programs
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit
  • Police-community partnership
  • Send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are untied 

 

Along with the traditional display of outdoor lights and front porch vigils, cities, towns and neighborhoods celebrate NNO with a variety of events and activities such as:

  • Block parties
  • Cookouts
  • Visits from local police and fire

The Oakdale Fire Department, Oakdale Police Department, Oakdale CAPS, Oakdale towing companies and an Oakdale Ambulance were on hand for Kids and Adults to tour and ask questions.  Thank you to all that participated in making National Night Out 2010 a huge success.
