T.A.G. Program Goal: To maintain the City of Oakdale’s secure and desirable community by promptly removing graffiti.  Citizens and the City will come together to help maintain our streets, parks and properties by immediately removing any graffiti on public or private property.

Purpose: To organize citizens of Oakdale to control graffiti in their community.  The quicker that graffiti is removed the least likely an area will be defaced again.  By creating one centralized program issues that are reported can be addresses immediately.  The City will provide training, instructions, and cleaning products to volunteers.

How the T.A.G. Program started - on Saturday, January 31, 2009, staff from the Parks and Recreation Department, Fire Department, Police Department and 40 community volunteers came together to remove 160 pieces of graffiti from public and private property throughout the City.  Thank you to Mayor Jackson, Councilmember Morgan, Police Chief West, Fire Chief Botto, and Director Bolin for coming out to show their support for this new program.  Thank you to all of the volunteers for donating their time to help make our community a more secure and desirable place to live.  In addition, thank you to Pizza Plus, Raleys, ACE Hardware, Print Rite, and Starbuck East for their gracious donations. Thank you to the City of Oakdale Staff that helped prepare and make this day a success.
