The City enjoys an Insurance Office Rating of 4.

Our participation in local and statewide Mutual Aid is strong, providing resources such as Strike Team Leaders, Division/Group Supervisors and apparatus statewide.  We strongly support our Statewide master Mutual Aid Plan.

The Department is an active member in the State Wide Mutual Aid System, providing resources and staff to major incidents throughout the state of California.  If the engine is used on a mutual aid incident, the City is reimbursed for its cost of the employees on the engine and the overtime created by the engine being out of the city on an incident.
