Before & After School Recreation Program

The City of Oakdale Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with the Oakdale Joint Unified School District is pleased to offer the Before & After School Recreation Programs.

The programs are open to all children kindergarten through sixth grade regardless of race, color, national origin or religious affiliation and are designed to meet the needs of children and their working parents.

Staff members organize and supervise activities that will keep children safe, active, and involved with other children. Emphasis for all program activities is on sharing, sportsmanship, cooperative group participation, and self esteem. We provide a safe and challenging environment for children, maintaining a staff to child ratio of 1:20. Information reflected below is for the 2009-2010 school year.


BEFORE SCHOOL RECREATION PROGRAM

The hours of the Before School Recreation Program are 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., Monday through Friday excluding school holidays.

Breakfast is available through the school cafeteria and is served at 7:20 a.m.

AFTER SCHOOL RECREATION PROGRAM

The hours of the After Recreation Program are 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday excluding school holidays.

Kids enrolled in the Before and After School Recreation Program meet in the cafeteria at their school to play sports, finish homework, create original works of art, and have fun with other kids who have parents who work and can’t pick them up right after school.

The Before and After School Recreation Program is a super fun, safe way to spend the morning and afternoon.

There is no drop-in program.

PROGRAM FEES

Before School Recreation Program fee is $32 per month per child for the first child and each sibling thereafter is $19.00 per month per child.

After School Recreation Program fee is $81 per month per child for the first child and each sibling thereafter is $55 per month per child.

A discount is also available for families whose children are on the Free and Reduced Lunch Program through the school district. Before School Recreation Program fee is $19.00 per month for the first child and each sibling thereafter is $9.75 per month per child. After School Recreation Program fee is $55 per month per child for the first child and each sibling thereafter is $31.

There is no extra charge for minimum days.

Fees are due and payable in advance of services rendered. Payments are to be made at the Parks & Recreation Office, 120 south Sierra Avenue, Oakdale, CA  95361.

ENROLLMENT

A parent or guardian prior to participation in either program must enroll all children at the Parks & Recreation Office, 120 South Sierra Avenue, Oakdale, Ca. Registration forms can be obtained from the Parks & Recreation Office.

PROGRAM DROP POLICY

In order to withdraw your child/children from the Before/After School Program a completed DROP FORM must be submitted for each child to the City of Oakdale Parks & Recreation Department, and must be received at City Hall by the 1st of the month in order to avoid monthly charge.
If complete DROP FORM is not received by City Hall prior to the 1st of the month, you will be responsible for all charges through the end of the month. drop_form_09-10
