QUILTING CLASS

Home made quiltes were pieced together for many different reasons. Most quilts would hvae been kept as a family heirloom to be treasured and passed on for getneratiosn to come. Joing this class to begin creating your treasure piece.

Program Fee: $45.00 per session

Location: Recreation Classroom, 120 South Sierra Avenue, Oakdale
(South Building Door)

Class #1: July 6, 13, 20, 27, August 3 & 10, 2010 / 6:00 - 9:00 pm
Create a beautiful table runner or mini quilt from block scraps, NO material wil be wasted. (All Levels)

Registration Deadline: July 2, 1010

Class #2 August 24, 31, September 7, 14, 12 & 28, 2010 / 6:00 -9:00 pm
One fabric, one shape, one-of-a-kind quilt! You won't believe how this quilt turns out! (Intermediate)

Registration Deadline: August 20, 2010

* All Participants must provide their own machine 


TAI CHI CLASS

Tai chi is a clow, graceful, rhythmic exervise that promotes godo health in young and old alike. This relaxing movement improces the nervous system, blood circulation and relieving stress. Tai Chi is a complete mental and physical exercise.

Locations: Gladys Lemmons Senior Center, 450 East A Street, Oakdale

Program Fee: $42.00 / 4 class punch card
* This is a continuous program that can be joined at anytime with a purchase of a punch card

LEARN TO LINE DANCE

Line Dance 1: this course will introduce basic dance steps, music interpretation and reading of line dance glossary. Line Dance provides great mental benefit as well as a fun work-out. * No partner or experience required.

Line Dance 2: This class is for participants who have completed Line Dance 1 or are intermediate dancers. Dance class will conssit of all types of music, exploring Line Dancing, Ballroom and Country.

Requirements: Wear comfortable shoes and bring water

Location: Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 South Sierra Avenue, Oakdale

Program Fee: $25.00 for a 6 week course

Program Hours: Thursdays
Line Dance 1 5:30 - 6:30 pm
Line Dance 2 6:30 - 8:00 pm


RELAXATION YOGA

Yoga is a blaance between mind, body & spirit. Connect all areas to create a relaxing and empowering meditation.

Location: Gladys Lemmons Senior Center, 450 East A Street, Oakdale

Program Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Friday / 8:00 - 9:00 am

Program Fee: $45.00 / 12 class punch card

TENNIS CLINIC

This class offers instructional assistnace with players technique and the basics of tennis. Instruction will be tailored to each player.

Location: Gilbert Park, between C Street & D Street

Program Fee: $65.00 per session

Program Hours: Tuesdays / 7:00 - 8:00 pm

Session 1 - June 8, 15, 22 & 29
Session 2 - July 6, 13, 20 &
Session 3 - August 3, 10, 17 & 24
Session 4 - September 7, 14, 21 & 28


OPEN GYM

Looking for a great workout and a little friendly game of basketball.  Open gym basektball is available for players 18 yrs & older.

Location: Oakdale Junior High Gym, 450 Maag Avenue, Oakdale

Program Hours: Wednesday & Friday / 7:00 - 9:30 pm

Program Fee: $3.00 per player

* Open Gym will end on Friday, May 21, 2010 for the summer and resume play on Wednesday, August 18, 2010

 


MENS & CO-ED SOFTBALL LEAGUE

Registration today for men's and co-ed softball league. Games will begin the first week of June. Minimum of 8 teams required per league. ASA Rules are enforced wtih local recreational amendments.

Team Fee: $375.00 per team
Early Bird Registration: $295.00 / Deadline April 30, 2010

Program Hours:
Mens - Monday & Wednesday
Co-Ed - Tuesday & Thursday
* Session begins June 7, games start at 6:30 pm

Location: Kerr Park, end of North Stearns Road
